CARD: Very Versailles

It's Fri-yay!  Are you excited for the weekend?

I'm reminiscing about my trip to Paris a few years back with today's project.  Have you even been fortunate enough to visit Paris?  If not, is it on your bucket list?

The card features the Very Versailles stamp set featured on page 113 of the annual catalogue.  The project is another from the CASE the catalogue swap.  I absolutely love how easy these projects come together when you use the catalogue as an idea book.

The base of this card is Crumb Cake.  A sheet of the 8 1/2" x 11" card stock is cut in half to be 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and folded in half to become a quarter fold 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  The card front is run through the Subtles Textured Impressions Embossing folder to give a soft and beautiful finish.  A layer of Soft Suede is cut to 5" x 3 3/4" and adhered using Snail.  Very Vanilla card stock is then cut to 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" and stamped.  The lovely french verses and row of shapes are stamped in Crumb Cake and the vine in Mint Macaron.  A strip of Mint Macaron card stock is cut to be 1" x 3 3/4" and adhered about one third of the way from the top of the Very Vanilla layer.  A strip of Crumb Cake is cut to 1" x 2 1/2" and punched on either end with the Triple Banner Punch.  The french phrases are then stamped in Soft Suede before this is adhered on top of the Mint Macaron layer.  On a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, the large baroque image and sentiment are stamped in Soft Suede and then cut out using the Layering Ovals dies and fussy cutting the image.  The oval is adhered to the image with Snail before the whole thing is applied with Stampin Dimensionals.  A bow is tied using the Linen Thread and a few Gold Metallic pearls finish it off.

This regal and elegant card will be the perfect gift for anyone who loves French design or is dreaming of Paris like me!  If you live in Canada, you can shop my online store for these items by clicking on any of the images below to be taken directly to that item.  All orders of $25 will automatically receive my Top 6 Card Designs PDF at no additional cost.  Be sure to check out my Rewards for additional benefits when shopping with me.
