CARD: Hello Magnolia

Happy Sunday!  It's another gorgeous day here in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  It's actually the first long weekend this summer that we've had perfect weather.  I'm planning to head outside to enjoy the day; but I had to share this card that I designed last night.

It was inspired by Kylie Bertucci and her #loveitchop it campaign.  Rather than hoard this gorgeous paper from the Magnolia Lane suite, I decided to use it as the focal point.  The base of the card is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" in Basic Black, folded to become a card of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  I then cut the DSP to measure 5 1/4" x 4".  A piece of Basic Black was cut to 5 1/2" x 1".  I stamped the "Hello" in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in White.  On a scrap of Whisper White, I stamped the large Magnolia image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then used Stampin' Blends in Calypso Coral and the lifter pen to shard in the blooms.  Mossy Meadow light and dark Blends are used on the leaves.  Some basic Rhinestones are added for some sparkle and a touch of Wink of Stella gives the large Magnolia a dewy look.
