Lovely Chock-full - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of my stamp spotlight on Chock-full of Cheer.  Today's card is created using this super cute set in combination with one of my favourites, Lovely as a Tree.

I wanted to showcase how easy it is to combine stamp sets and create beautiful projects.  For this card, I used the pine tree from Lovely as a Tree and stamped only the top of the tree along the side and top of the card.  This gives the illusion of a bushy branch.
I then added the ornament from Chock-full of Cheer.  I popped the ornament up using Stampin' Dimensionals and added a bow using our 3/8" taffeta ribbon in Whisper White.

Add a little frosting to your tree branches with 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds and voila, a simple yet gorgeous card that will have your family and friends oohing.

Chock-full of Cheer - Day 2

It's Day 2 of my stamp spotlight on Chock-full of Cheer!  The more I use this cute holiday set, the more I love it.
Today's card is another that we created at the Christmas in August class last week.  This card can be a little tedious to create; but, I think the finished product more than makes up for it!

This card uses Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White card stock; Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler ink, Basic Pearls, Baker's Twine in cherry cobbler; and of course the new Mitten Builder punch!

To learn how you can use Chock-full of Cheer to create this super cute card, email or call me to book your workshop, 289-280-0304.

Stamp Spotlight "Chock-full of Cheer" - Day 1

It seems my stamp set spotlight on Kindness Matter was a hit, so I thought I'd do another one on Chock-ful of Cheer.  This is a new holiday set found in the 2012-13 Catalog on page 10.

This cute set is very versatile, as I demonstrated this past week in my Christmas in August classes.  Here is the first card we made:

This card was made using the candy cane and "Merry Christmas" stamps from Chock-full of Cheer.  The techniques used are sponging and crystal effects.
I used Marina Mist, Wysteria Wonder and Cherry Cobbler card stock and ink.  The bow is our baker's twine in Cherry Cobbler and the lights were created using Stampin' Write markers in Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist.

To learn more about this card and how to create it, book a workshop by emailing me with your preferred dates.

To order supplies to create the card, simply click on the Stampin' Up! logo at the top of the page.

Frankenstein and the Bat

In the latest edition of the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator magazine, these cute little creations were featured.  So I had to try them out!

How adorable are these?  Made using the Bigz XL Petite Purse Die for the Big Shot, I cut out the purses and added embellishments.

The Bat is made using basic black, and whisper white card stock, the large oval punch, petite pennants punch, 1/2" circle and 3/4" circle punches, mini silver brads and white Signo uni-ball gel pen.

Frankenstein is made from old olive, basic black and whisper white cardstock.  I also used the circle punches noted above, glimmer brads in neutrals and a basic black Stampin' Write marker!

I think I'm going to use these for the kids' Hallowe'en class treats!

To learn how to make your own spooky gifts, book a workshop with me!  Email or call to pick a date that is good for you.
Think you've got it figured out and just need the supplies, you can order 24/7 by clicking the Stampin' Up! logo at the top of the page!

Happy Stamping.

Common Misconceptions

With the Spooktacular promotion that's happening now at Stampin' Up!, I've been receiving a lot of questions about what it takes to be a Demonstrator.  I thought I'd take a moment to explain how it can work.

I joined Stampin' Up! as a way to supplement the household income.  I set goals for myself and work towards those each month.  However, you don't need to do that.

Stampin' Up! is very flexible when it comes to how you run YOUR business.  It starts with your Demonstrator Kit.  For $125 you customize the kit the way YOU want it.  You get to choose $155 worth of product from any of the current Stampin' Up! catalogs.  This can be anything from traditional stamping and scrapbooking tools to our full line of digital products.  You'll also get a business supplies kit, valued at $70, which contains things like order forms, catalogs and more.  You starter kit has a value of $225 and ships for FREE, for only $125.

Demonstrators earn 20% on all commissionable merchandise.  That means as a Demo, you save 20% on all catalog items.  If you're not looking to join Stampin' Up! as a business venture, why not join just to save on the products you know and love?
On your very first order as a new Demo, you earn 30%!!!

How you run your business is totally up to you.  There are lots of different types of Demonstrators.  Some are strictly hobby demonstrators that joined Stampin' Up! for the discount.  Others are part-time Demos doing workshops or classes every couple months; while others still, have made Stampin' Up! their full-time job and earn six figures.

If you decide to join my team in August, you'll also get the Howl-o-ween project kit valued at $75 for FREE.  That means your starter kit now has a $300 value, all for only $125.

If you'd like to talk to me more about becoming a demonstrator, please email or call any time, 289-280-0304

Kindness Matters Day 5

Today is the last instalment for my spotlight on Kindness Matters.  I hope you've enjoyed my samples and feel inspired to create with this cute and versatile set.  Of course, everything used in the samples has been strictly from the Kindness Matters set.  But just think of the world of possibilities if you combine some of the elements with other sets from Stampin' Up!  The world is truly your oyster.

This card was created using the Kindness Matters set.  I think it's simple and elegant and can be used in a variety of colours.  Really, the possibilities to transform this design are endless.  I've used Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Basic Black card stock.  The images are stamped in black and then coloured in using blender pens and Daffodil Delight and Marina Mist inks.  I used the, retired, ticket corner punch and stuck some of our basic pearls in the space created by them.  I'm very pleased with how this card turned out.  Thank you to Diane F. for sharing you design.

If you'd like to learn more about projects created using Kindness Matters, book a workshop with me and let me know that you'd like to focus on this adorable set.  If you just want to learn more about the great possibilities with Stampin' Up!, simply send me an email or give me a call 289-280-0304.  I'm free to answer your questions any time.

Kindness Matters Day 4

It's Day 4 of my Kindness Matters showcase.  This simple card uses only two colours, or shades if you will, Whisper White and Basic Black.  I love this card, I think simplicity is sometimes looked upon as boring; but this simple card is anything but.

I used the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to emboss the background of the card.  The butterflies and then stamped on another sheet of white card stock, and I embossed the bottom half.  I then used the black grosgrain (retired) ribbon to cover the space between the embossing and the plain paper.  I used the Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch to create the elegant "Thanks" and attached using Dimensionals.

To purchase your Kindness Matters set or any of the supplies listed here, please email or call me at 289-280-0304.  Of course, you can also shop my online store 24/7 by clicking on the Stampin' Up! logo at the top of the page.

Kindness Matters Day 3

It's Day 3 of my stamp set spotlight on Kindness Matters.  It seems a lot of people overlook this set as it is so simple.  However, I think this is a great, versatile set to add to any collection.  Whether you're an experienced stamper or just starting out, Kindness Matters will have you designing beautiful cards and gifts in no time!

Take for example this card:

A simple 4"x4" card, this versatile design can be used for both masculine or feminine recipients.  Change the wording from "Thanks" to "Kindness Matters" and it becomes even more versatile.  The colours, Pacific Point and Lucky Limeade just make this card pop!  The "rock n' roll" technique helps give the card a little something extra.  Add a few basic pearls or even basic rhinestones and your butterfly comes to life.

To learn how you can make this card, book your workshop today.  Email or call me at 289-280-0304.  Don't think you can pull together enough people, or don't want to clean for a workshop?, host a catalog party instead...just ask me how.  As always, you can shop 24/7 at my online store by clicking on the Stampin' Up! logo at the top of the page.

Kindness Matters, Day 2

Here is another project using the Kindness Matters set from my stamp set spotlight.  This versatile set is great for those just starting out.

This card was created using crumb cake card stock, First Edition DSP, basic black card stock, crumb cake 3/8" taffeta ribbon and of course, basic pearls.  I coloured the butterflies using a blender pen and my calypso coral ink pad to give the card just a pop of colour.

Versatile Kindness

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, it would be very easy to buy all the fabulous sets we have to offer.    However, for myself and many of my customers, that simply isn't possible.  To limit my "must have" list, I set a guide line for myself.  Basically, if I can't use a stamp set five different ways, it's not for me.

Over the next few days I'm going to showcase Kindness Matters. This super sweet set can be used so many ways and I wanted the chance to highlight some of them.  It's a great beginner set as you can create so many different pieces with it, both masculine and feminine.

The first card I'm going to share is a "shadow box" card I created.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but there is actually a piece of acetate over the top of the image to make it look like it's in a shadow box.

To learn more about the great projects you can make using Kindness Matters book a workshop or sign up for one of my monthly classes.  To order your Kindness Matters set, email or call me, 289-280-0304.  You can also shop online 24/7 by simply clicking the Stampin' Up! logo at the top of the page.
