CARD: Beautiful Promenade

If you've been visiting fairly regularly, you may have read some of my posts where I mentioned that I'm not really a floral person.  In fact, I own very few flowery stamp sets.  However, today's project has me reconsidering my position.

The card features the stunning Beautiful Promenade stamp set featured on page 75 of the annual catalogue.

I'm not really sure what calls to me more, the beautiful textures or the gorgeous pop of colour.  What do you like most?  Oh, and did you notice that the envelope coordinates with the card as well?  I mean, what an awesome touch and who wouldn't love getting this pretty ensemble in the mail?

The items shown here today can be purchased through my online store 24/7 if you live in Canada.  Simply click on any of the images below to be taken directly to that product.  All orders over $25 will receive my Top 6 Card Designs PDF automatically at no additional charge.  Of course, there are other benefits to shopping with me so be sure to check out my Rewards for more details.

CARD: Winter Woods Sympathy

Good afternoon, or at least it's afternoon in Hamilton, Ontario.  One of my team members recently experienced a loss and as I sat writing out a sympathy card for her, I thought I'd share such a card today.  While the card featured today isn't the one I sent (she wouldn't have received it yet, so I don't want to spoil it), it would have done the job nicely.

Today's project is another CASE the catalogue project.  Featured on page 70, this card uses what many would consider a holiday stamp set, Winter Woods.  However, today's card, shows the versatility of the set to be more than what is perceived.

I love the simple elegance of this card.  The Basic Black background is a standard quarter-fold, 5 1/2" 4 1/4".  A Mint Macaron layer measures 5" x 3 3/4" and the Shimmery White cardstock is cut to 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".  Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp the trees.  Next use an Aqua Painter and Mint Macaron re-inker or classic ink pad to colour the back ground and let dry.  On a separate piece of the Shimmery white stamp the trees once again.  Punch out a piece of plain Shimmery White using the Tailored Tags punch.  Next  punch out the trees.  In order to get a border around them, you may want to use your paper trimmer or snips to cut off 1/8" all the way around.  Stamp the sentiment in Mint Macaron and cut out using your Paper Snips.  Adhere this to the trees using Snail.  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the tags off the card base and you're done.  Simple and gorgeous.

I hope you enjoyed today's project, even if it's more somber.  To purchase any of the items demonstrated here today, simply click on the images below to be taken directly to that product.  When you shop with me, all orders of $25 or more automatically receive my Top 6 Card Designs PDF at no additional charge.  Additional benefits can be found on my Rewards page.

Stamper's Showcase Blog Hop: Kid Cards

Good day and welcome!  I'm so happy you stopped by today as once again, I'm participating in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop with other talented Demonstrators from around the world.  Be sure to visit everyone for lots of inspiration.

This month, we're hopping around with designs for babies and children.  As I went through my abundance of stamps, I realized I actually don't have very many kiddie stamps despite being a mom of three.

However I managed to come up with something, and I'm sure it ties in with our theme as you can see them everywhere right now; and, my youngest is obsessed with them...MERMAIDS.

For this month's project, I used the Magical Mermaid stamp set and created a couple of projects.  The first is the fun card using the hair gel technique to create the water-like background.  I'll be doing a video on this a little later, so be sure to check out my YouTube channel for it sometime this week.  The second project is the adorable pair of earrings I made for my youngest daughter using Shrink Art paper.  Both the earrings and the card would be perfect for any little girl in your life; and to purchase any of the products used here today, click on the images below to be taken directly to that product.

Don't forget to hop along for more inspiration.  Click the button below to be transported to the next blog!
