It's been a quiet week for me; and it's so bizarre. The kids are still home for another week or so before school starts back up; and, all of their activities are done for the summer. Not having a constant go-go-go schedule seems utterly weird and I feel like I don't know what to do with myself. Does anyone else feel that way?
Today, I have a project featuring the Forever Lovely stamp set found on page 81 of the annual catalogue. This stamp set is new for 2019-2020 and is...well, lovely!
This card has so many great elements. It combines soft, gorgeous colours that pop. It uses the Lovely Flowers Edgelits dies that coordinate perfectly with the stamp set and some gorgeous ribbon. The base is the every pretty Purple Posy cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and folded to be a standard quarter-fold card of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". A layer of Whisper White is cut to measure 4 1/4" x 5". The flowers are stamped in Highland Heather at the top and bottom of the Whisper White. The greens around the flowers are stamped in Mint Macaron. The top layer of Purple Posy is cut to 4 1/4" x 4 3/4" and the top and bottom are cut using the Lovely Flowers Edgelits. Sprigs are stamped directly onto the Purple Posy in Highland Heather and on Soft Seafoam, sprigs are also stamped in Mint Macaron and cut out with the Edgelits. Tiny flowers are cut in Grapefruit Grover cardstock. On Whisper White cardstock, the sentiment is stamped in Grapefruit Grove ink and then punched out using the Everyday Label punch that has had the end tabs cut off. Strips of the Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot ribbon are adhered to the base and the label attached with Stampin Dimensionals. The Seafoam Spray sprigs are attached underneath and the Purple Posy layer lined up with the Whisper White and adhered with Dimensionals.
The finished look is gorgeous and will look like you've spend hours making it; but, we know better ;)
