Stampers Showcase Blog Hop: Piece of Cake

It's Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  While Monday is often the day of the week most people dread, I have a feeling your day is about to get a whole lot better!

Once again, I am participating in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop with other amazing demonstrators from around the world.  Make sure you hop along to all the posts to be inspired.

This month's theme is "Birthday".

I had some fun with this card and tried something I hadn't done before.  I created my own mask using acetate and used silver embossing paste to create the cake, which gives it a look like it's covered in fondant.

Once the embossing paste was dry, I then used Stazōn ink to stamp on top of the embossing paste and coloured the design using Stampin' Blends.  The cake is then punched out using the Cake Builder punch.  I paired the Piece of Cake stamp set with items from the How Suite It Is product suite.  I've used the How Sweet it Is DSP and the rectangle stitched framelits.  I tied a piece of the coastal cabana/granny apple green 38/" reversible ribbon around the card.  The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo on the Sweet Pins & Tags.

I had so much fun creating this card for you; I hope you're inspired to try something new yourself.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the hop!
