COLOUR SWAP CHALLENGE: Needlepoint Friend

Good morning Stampers.  Welcome to my blog.  I happy you've stopped by.

Today, I'm showcasing the last of the colour challenge swap cards.  This one comes from my very own upline, Jenn Tinline.  Jenn has used the Needle & Thread stamp set from the Occasions catalogue, page 39; and, the coordinating Needlepoint Elements framelits.

The card base is crumb cake measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", folded in half to be 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  A basic black layer measuring 5 1/4" x 4" is adhered on top followed by a piece of bermuda bay measuring 5" x 3 3/4".  This piece of bermuda bay is run through the big shot using the large stitched flower die from the needlepoint elements framelits and the edges are sponged with bermuda bay ink.  Before this layer is adhered to the base, a piece of 5/8" burlap ribbon and 1/2" lace trip are adhered to the back, then wrapped around the front and the layer adhered.  On very vanilla using memento tuxedo black ink, the sentiment is stamped.  Butterflies are stamped in crumb cake.  Everything is then cut out using the label die from the same framelit set and adhered over the ribbon and lace.  from a scrap of bermuda bay, tiny butterflies are cut using the butterfly beauty framelits.

The Needlepoint Nook suite is so pretty and soft and it brings back memories of my Grandmother's who are no longer with us.

I hope you've enjoyed this project and the others I've shared during the colour challenge.  Check back often as I'll have more inspiration to share with you.

Happy stampin'!
