COLOUR CHALLENGE SWAP: Delightfully Detailed

Happy Friday!  You made it!  Do you have plans for the weekend?  Do those plans involve crafting?

I have a fairly busy weekend ahead.  Tonight, I'm taking my oldest daughter for a facial.  She's 14 and suffers from acne, so the facial helps extract some of the blackheads to help keep it under control.  Tomorrow, I'll be attending an all-day conference for my full-time job; and Sunday, I have a "More to Sale-a-Brate" card class and then will be attending my youngest daughter's ringette game.

Despite the busyness, you'll have noticed I still have time to craft in there.  It's even better since I'll be crafting with some of my stamping friends.

I digress though...

Today's project is yet another from the colour challenge swap I've been highlighting.  Today's project comes from Wendy Fee.  Wendy has created a simply stunning card using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut Specialty Designer Series Paper.  She's also used our new rectangle stitched framelits and the Detailed with Love stamp set.

What do you think?

I absolutely love this card.  The specialty DSP is not something I have yet purchased; but, after seeing this card I'm definitely adding it to my next order.  It even comes in your choice of very vanilla or whisper white.
The base is a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of crumb cake.  On top of that, is a piece of bermuda bay measuring 4" x 5 1/4".  The specialty DSP is cut to 5 1/8" x 3 6/8" as the basic black frame using the large rectangle from the stitched framelits covers it perfectly.  The sentiment is then stamped on very vanilla using bermuda bay.  The oval shapes of the very vanilla and crumb cake are cut using the big shot and stitched shape framelits.

I hope you've enjoyed this project as much as I have.  To see the other colour challenge swap cards I've showcased this far, please keep reading to get even more great ideas.
