It's Friday y'all, we made it! I'm not sure where I pulled that "y'all" from; but, let's roll with it.
I'm continuing my showcase from the colour challenge swap and today's card comes from Kerry-Anne Pumphrey. The stamp set used is Abstract Impressions from the annual catalogue.
Of course, the card keeps with the challenge requirements in that it uses the colours bermuda bay, basic black, crumb cake and very vanilla. Make sure you search up my other colour challenge posts to get even more inspired.
This card is actually quite fun as it features a Z-fold. So it's a non-traditional fold which will definitely wow the recipient.
The base for this card is a sheet of crumb cake measuring 11" x 4 1/4". It is folded in half at 5 1/2" and then the front is folded back on itself at 2 3/4" to create the Z. The card still ends up being a traditional quarter fold size at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The next layer, in basic black, is cut using the new rectangle stitched framelits and the big shot. The next layer in bermuda bay is also cut using the rectangle framelits. The last layer is cut again using the framelits in very vanilla. The images are then stamped using crumb cake for the stems and bermuda bay for the blooms. "Thank You" is stamped across the corner of the very vanilla and bermuda bay layers. A piece of 1/4" mini striped ribbon in bermuda bay finishes it off.
The INSIDE of the card has a layer of very vanilla, once again cut using the stitched rectangle framelits. The sentiment is stamped using the memento tuxedo black ink. A tiny bloom in bermuda bay finishes it off.
