CARD: Painted Friend

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a beautiful weekend.  While mine was busy, it did not involve sitting in an arena at all and for that I am thankful!

This week will be crazy busy as I get ready to attend OnStage Local in Quebec City this weekend.  My eldest daughter and I will by flying out on Friday to spend the day in vieux Quebec before I go to the event on Saturday.

I thought I'd share my swap card with you before I head out.  Of course, you know I'll have posts with all the projects I receive back once I return.

I used the now retired set, Painted Seasons, from Sale-a-Bration and the Well Written framelits to create this card.  The butterfly and "friend" are cut from champagne foil paper.  The base is a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" sheet of whisper white cardstock, folded in half to create a quarter fold card, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  The next layer of petal pink card stock measures 5 3/8" x  4 1/8".  The third layer is 5 1/4" x 4" in whisper white.  I used the Simply Scored scoring tool to add 1/4" vertical lines across the bottom of the half of that 3rd layer.  A piece of 5/8" petal pink/whisper white variegated ribbon is then tied with a bow around the petal pink and whisper white layers, hiding the top of the score lines.  The images are stamped on whisper white using petal pink, tranquil tide and calypso coral ink.  The cardstock measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/4", 1 1/2" x 1 1/2", and 1 1/2" x 1 1/4".  I used washi tape to hold them together on the back and stamped randomly.  The petal pink matte behind measures 4 5/8" x 1 5/8".
I'm very happy with the soft and gentle feel of this card and I hope you like it too.

If you're heading to OnStage in Quebec and would like to swap with me, seek me out!

Happy stampin'!
