CARD: Beautiful You Watercolour

Good morning!  I’m writing to you this morning from the Montreal airport as I await to board my flight to Québec for OnStage Local!  I’m super excited and I’ll have lots to share along the way.  Before that though, I have a gorgeous card to share with you all.

This card was one of the projects from my watercolour class Wednesday night.

We used the Beautiful You stamp set and paired with a basic black Cardstock base measuring 8 1/2” x 5 1/5” and folded to create a card 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”.  A layer of daffodil delight at 5 1/4” x 4” is then run through the swirls & curls embossing folder before adhering a piece of black satin 5/8” ribbon about a third of the way up from the bottom.  The image is stamped in black on whisper white measuring 2” x 3” with a basic black matte at 2 1/4” x 3 1/4”.  The image is coloured using water colour pencils in pumpkin pie and daffodil delight.  I started with the pumpkin pie along the right edge of the image.  I then added the daffodil delight starting darker from the pumpkin pie and getting lighter as I got toward the left side of the image.  The aqua painter is then used to pull the darker colours from right to left.  The sentiment is stamped with black on whisper white and cut using the stitched rectangle dies.  Both the image and sentiment are adhered with stampin dimensional.  The rhinestones I coloured with the dark daffodil delight blends marker before adhering the to the card.

I’m quite happy with the result and so were the gals who attended my class.  Check out my events page for upcoming classes.

Happy stampin’!
