While Monday's can be manic in the words of the Bangles, it's difficult to feel that way when I have a gorgeous card to share with all of you. The theme is "Encouragement" and what could be more encouraging than with a beautiful thank you?
This card actually serves two purposes as I needed to come up with a design for a colour challenge swap too! I started with a base in Bermuda Bay, followed by a layer in Basic Black before landing on the Very Vanilla layer which I ran through the Big Shot with the Woodland textured impressions embossing folder. A piece of Crumb Cake stamped in the same colour with the leaf image from the set is then layered on top. I used the linen thread to create a nature feel before cutting a stitched shape circle from vellum and finally adding the cute humming bird that I watercolored in Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake and Basic Black. The hummingbird was adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Bermuda Bay on Very Vanilla and also adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
