Stamper's Showcase Blog Hop: Humming Thanks

Hello and happy Monday!  Thank you, all for stopping by.  I hope you had a great weekend and you're ready to kick off a new week with a wonderful blog hop.

We've got some great stampers from around the world participating and I know you're going to come away with a ton of inspiration.

The theme for this hop is "Thanks".  The criteria:  anything goes as long as it uses current Stampin' Up! products.

For my project, I knew I wanted to make a card.  We all need to say thank you at some point or another and what better way to do so than with a card.  I also knew I wanted to incorporate the new Well Written Framelit dies.

I used Blushing Bride cardstock for my card base, measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4" to make it a true quarter fold card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4").  I then ran another piece of the bIushing bride cardstock, measuring 5 1/4" x 4", through the Big Shot using the new Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I then cut a strip of basic black measuring 2" x 4".  A strip of the Highland Heather Gingham Gala DSP cut to 1 7/8" x 3 7/8" is then layered overtip and a piece of Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8" variegated ribbon is then tied around it; and then adhered with stampin' dimensionals to the card base.  On Whisper White, I stamped three different hibiscus flowers from the Humming Along stamp set.  I then coloured them using Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather and Petal Pink; and some accents in Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.  The flowers I then fussy cut out; but don't worry, there are actually framelits available so you don't have to do that..and adhered the flowers using a combination of snail and stampin' dimensionals.  From a scrap of basic black, I used the "thanks" framelit from the Well Written dies to add the sentiment to the bottom corner, this is adhered using a fine tip glue pen.
All in all, I'm quite happy with the result.  What do you think?

If you've enjoyed my post today, don't forget to hop along with these other bloggers for more inspiration.
