Tomorrow, Sunday, is my Mom's birthday. Of course, this week has been super busy and I haven't had much time to create so I pulled this gorgeous card, designed by Jenn Tinline, from some of my recent swaps. I thought it was perfect for Mom as she loves flowers but is allergic to them. These ones won't make her sneeze at all!
There are many elements to this card that perfectly coordinate. The stamp set is Magnolia Blooms. This is from the Beginner Brochure and is different from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set found in the annual catalogue. Strips of patterned paper from the Magnolia Lane DSP pack are cut to add layers to the card. The images are stamped in Petal Pink ink while the sentiment is in Mossy Meadow to coordinate with the card stock layer on top of the Whisper White card base. Leaves are also stamped on this layer of Mossy Meadow using the same colour ink for a mono-chromatic look. A strip of Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon is folded and tucked in behind the Stitched Shape circle and layering Circles scalloped circle which is adhered to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. The result is this soft and elegant card, that combines simplicity and wow-factor.
