CARD: Joy to the World

I love to provide inspiration that can be adapted in many ways.  This next project is no different.  I received this card from Wendy Fee in my latest swap; and, it is a perfect example of a project that can be made into an occasion with a simple change of the sentiment.

Wendy combined two stamp sets in this project:  Itty Bitty Christmas and Nature's Beauty.  I love Nature's Beauty.  Not only is it gorgeous and versatile; but, a portion from every stamp set sold goes to Mental Health Charities.  Be sure to grab one before they're gone and give back to your community.

The centre square can be done in two different ways.  The first and easiest, is to ink up a clear acrylic block (size D) with your Smokey Slate ink and then stamp it directly on the Whisper White card stock.  Option 2, which I find more satisfying, is to create a mask and sponge the colour in the negative space.  This allows you to control the amount of ink and create shadows and depth as seen in Wendy's card.
