Good day!
Today's project is a last farewell to summer. It uses the Sailing Home stamp set and Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper.
I received today's card in the CASE the catalogue swap. All our catalogues should be used for more than just shopping. They're full of inspiration like this one, featured on page 144.
The card base is Basic Black measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and folded in half to become 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Two strips of the grey and black print from the Come Sail Away Designer Paper, measuring 1" x 5 1/2" each are adhered to the top and the bottom of the card base. Whisper White is cut to measure 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" forms the base for our stamped images. The lighthouse and sail boats are stamped in Stazon Black ink. Aqua painters are then used to add colour using Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Soft Suede and Mossy Meadow reinkers. Linen Thread is tied around the Whisper White and tied in a bow before the card stock is adhered to the base using Stampin' Dimensionals. On a piece of Night of Navy card stock, measuring 3/4" x 3" the sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink. White embossing powder is sprinkled on top and set using the Heat Tool. This is then adhered with Stampin' Dimenstionals. The birds are stamped in Night of Navy and hand cut before being adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to complete the look.
I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do. The watercolour softens the entire look and adds dimension.
