CARD: Thinking of Magnolias

One thing is true about spring time in Ontario, Magnolias can be found just about everywhere and they're quite beautiful when in full bloom.  That's why I was so please to see the Magnolia Lane suite in the new catalogue!

This card uses the simply GORGEOUS Magnolia Lane designer series paper and was designed by Diana Langman for our recent sketch challenge swap.

Diana used whisper white for the back ground.  The next layer is basic black which was embossed using the subtle embossing folder.  A piece of the Magnolia Lane with the old olive stripes with a whisper white matte is placed at the bottom.  A piece of the gorgeous magnolia dsp is then run through the same subtles embossing folder and adhered with a whisper white matte.  The sentiment is stamped in versamark ink and then sprinked with gold heat embossing powder which is then set using the heat tool.  It's then cut using the stitched shape dies and attached with stampin' dimensionals.  A bloom from the DSP is hand cut and adhered and some gold pearls added as a finishing touch.
All in all, a simply stunning card.
