Today's project that I'm highlighting is from a recent New Catalogue swap I did with my team. It was created by Elicia Zebroski. It uses the Free As A Bird stamp set I've posted about before; but, she's paired it with the Crackle Paint background stamp which I haven't had the opportunity to use and create with.
The base for this card is a standard quarter-fold card here in Canada. It's a sheet of whisper white cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and then folded in half to become 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". The Crackle Paint background is then stamped in Early Espresso ink. A piece of DSP from the Bird Ballad designer series paper is cut 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" and adhered using Snail. From a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock, a matte is cut using the Stitched Nested Labels dies and a die cutting machine. From Whisper White, a smaller shape using the same dies is cut and the "Hello" is stamped in Early Espresso ink. The bird and flowers are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and then coloured using Stampin' Blends in balmy blue and petal pink. They are then "fussy cut" and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I'm totally smitten with this card and I believe the Crackle Paint background stamp will be on my next order.
