CARD: Lots of Daisies

Hi there!  Thanks for stopping by.

I have a super easy card today, once again featuring the Daisy Delight stamp set.  Have you been able to guess just how much I love it?

This card was inspired by Ange McKay and it was the third project from my Daisy Lane class.

This card uses basic black for the card base.  It measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and is folded in half to become 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  Next a layer of daffodil delight is added measuring 4" x 5 1/4".  On whisper white measuring 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" I've stamped both the medium and small daisy images from the Daisy Lane stamp set in memento tuxedo black ink.  Using a daffodil stampin' blend, I coloured the centres.  The sentiment is stamped in the memento ink on whisper white.  Mattes in daffodile delight and basic black are added.  This is then added to the base using stampin' dimensionals.  A few gold metallic pearls finish off the entire look.

International Blog Highlights Hop: Pretty Peacock

Good day and welcome!  If you're new here, I'm Stephanie from Mount Hope, Ontario, Canada and I'm so happy you've stopped by.

Today I'm participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights hop.  There will be so many wonderfully talented people hopping today, please make sure to visit them all; but, don't forget to VOTE FOR ME using the button below before you do!

My project for the hop features the new Noble Peacock suite.  I've created the base using a piece of pretty peacock yardstick cut to 8" x 4" and folded to create a card 4" x 4".  I then took a piece of the noble peacock specialty DSP in pretty peacock and cut that to be 4" x 4" and adhere to the card base.  From the old olive noble peacock foil sheets and use the detailed peacock dies to cut out the peacock image.  I use whisper white cardstock to cut out the feathers which I splatter with reinker in blueberry bushel, old love and daffodil delight.  I use a stampin spritzer to spread the colours around to get the look I want.  Once dry, the ends of the feathers are fed through the details in the peacock to create a gorgeous tail.  Using the same old olive foil, I stamp the sentiment in Stazon black ink and cut using the stitched shape dies.  The sentiment and peacock are both adhered to the base using mini stampin dimensionals.  Some old olive coloured rhinestones from the noble peacock rhinestone pack finish it off.

CARD: Buffalo Check Daisies

Today I have another card featuring the Daisy Lane bundle.  This card was inspired by Ange McKay and used in my recent Daisy Lane product based class.

The background was stamped using the ever versatile Buffalo Check background stamp.  I think this design may be a new favourite.  The design can be adapted easily to so many stamp sets.  Stay tuned as I'll be posting more with this layout in the very near future.
