CARD: Set Sail

Good morning!  How is your day thus far?  I’m happy you’re here.

Today, I have another sneak peek into the new catalogue coming June 4th.  This card was another of the make & takes from OnStage last month and features the new Come Sail Away Suite.  This beautiful nautical suite is perfect in every way; and with Father’s Day right around the corner, I hope you’ll find inspiration in today’s project.

This card uses the whisper white notecards for the base.  A sheet of Come Sail Away DSP striped paper is cut to fit the entire front.  A second sheet in the map print is cut to matte the watercolour paper.  A watercolour wash in balmy blue is added to the paper.  Once dry, the compass image is stamped in soft suede after stamping off once.  The lighthouse image is stamped on a separate piece of whisper white in night of navy and then cut using the new smooth sailing dies.  On a 1/2” strip of soft suede, the knot image is stamped lengthwise across the paper, also in soft suede.  This strip is adhered to the watercolour paper about 1/4” from the bottom.  The lighthouse is then secured with stampin’ dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped in night of navy on balmy blue card stock and punched out with the everyday label punch and fastened with dimensionals.  The entire project is finished off with a piece of new night of navy/Sahara sand bakers twine and an anchor charm from the sail away trinkets.

I hope you’ll love the new Come Sail Away Suite as much as I do.  If you need a new catalogue and live in Canada please let me know and I’ll be happy to get one to you.

If you’d like more information on OnStage and how you can join me in November, send me a note and let’s chat!

Happy stampin’
