CARD: HAPPY HUMMING WISHES

Hello, and welcome to my blog!  I hope you're all having a wonderful day.

Today, I'm bringing you another of the projects from my Watercolour class.  This card was so much fun to create as it combined two of my favourite techniques.  Heat embossing and watercoloring.

This project was inspired by Sandi MacIver's Brush - Dry Spritz technique video.

I used the Humming Along stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue and the Well Written thinlit dies.  I used three colours from the Brusho Crystal Colour pack:  Gamboge, Prussian Blue and Yellow.  I sprinkled the crystals on a sheet of watercolour paper measuring 3 3/4" x 5".  Once I had the crystals where I thought I wanted them, I spritzed them with water using a Stampin' Spritzer.  On a separate piece of watercolour paper I stamped the hibiscus image from the Humming Along stamp set in Versamark and sprinkled with Gold heat emboss powder.  I then set the powder using the heat tool before following the same steps with the Brusho.  Once the Brusho dried, I cut the flower image using scissors, but you could very easily use the coordinating framelit dies.  The flower was then adhered using stampin' dimensionals.  A layer of blackberry bliss is added behind measuring 4" x 5 1/4".  That is added to the card base of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" of whisper white.  I cut out the sentiment using the Well Written thinlits and blackberry bliss cardstock.  They are attached using the fine-tipped glue pen.

Don't forget to check out my complete event listing for great classes like this and more.

Happy stampin'!
