A New Session is Under Way

Last week, I started the newest session of card club.  It's always so much fun coming up with new projects to do with the ladies, sharing new tips and tricks.  Even bring back some old techniques we've forgotten about by getting caught up in the new.

This month, our three projects featured sets from the new Occasions catalog (if you haven't received a copy and would like one, please send me a little note with your address).

We started with something pretty simple featuring the new Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.  I absolutely LOVE these new thinlits as they're so easy to use and incredibly beautiful.

We used basic grey, basic black and blushing bride glimmer paper to create this card.  Add a little something, something with our silver satin ribbon and voila, you've got this beauty!

Next on the list was a little something for Valentine's Day.  Once again, the card was simple to create using our Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits.  As this is such a detailed thinlit, we used the Big Shot Die Brush to make getting all the fine details out without much effort.

The final card of the night featured TWO of my favourites from the new catalog.  The first was from the Chose your Dreams set.  I love the iconic landmarks; the only thing that could make it better would be an Eiffel Tower image.  I paired this set with Beautiful You to create a very fashion forward, or french-feeling card.  We used the new watercolour pencils and the stitched shape framelits to add a little extra to the overall design.

All in all, I think the January kick-off went well.  We learned some new techniques, used some new product and had a blast crafting together.  If you're interested in learning more about card club; please don't hesitate to ask.

Don't forget it's SALE-a-BRATION right now.  If you're planning to order any of the items used to recreate these cards, remember that for each $60 you spend before tax and shipping, you'll get to pick a FREE item from the exclusive SALE-a-BRATION brochure.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin'!
