5 Year Stamp-a-Versary
Today marks a milestone for me; I have officially been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 5 years! That old adage of "time flies when you're having fun" has definitely applied in this instance.
It's hard to believe it's only been 5 years as I feel like I've been part of the SU family for so much longer. And, I guess I really have been if you count all the time I was a customer prior to signing up as a demonstrator. I really do love this company and everything it has to offer!
Here are some things I've learned along my journey so far:
Confidence - Wow, this is so huge. I can feel a change in myself with my comfort levels with people. There is something about teaching people about what you love that builds confidence in yourself.
Craftiness - Ha! I know, you all think I was crafty before becoming a demo! Not at all! I still don’t think I really am, but I do come up with more ideas of my own. Thank goodness SU embraces the CASE philosophy "Copy And Share Everything
Goal-Setting - Of course this is something that I have done previously in my life, but I love exploring it at new levels. It pushes me to reach the next SU reward level and see how far I can go!
Balance - Finding that work/life balance is a challenge. Whether I work FT out of the home or FT at my SU business, it can be a challenge to find the right balance. Crafting is my escape. Having “me time” refreshes me, and I can be a better mama and wife while enjoying teaching and doing something worthwhile. I’m a much more well-rounded person for it.
Loving what I do - If I didn't have SU in my life I really think I'd be at a loss. Not only do I get paid to share my passion with others and teach them new techniques and skills; I have made some wonderful friends along the way. Stampin' Up! really is a family. My fellow demonstrators, the people and head office and my customers have become friends. Being able to say you love what you do isn't something that many people can say and mean. I REALLY do mean it. I love being part of this great company and meeting new people along the way. I can't wait to see what the next 5 years bring.
