We've all been super busy preparing for the holidays and I know I won't be the only one that has been neglecting my creative side over the past couple weeks.

After much anticipation, the NEW Stampin' Trimmer has arrived!

Introducing the new and improved Stampin' Trimmer! Although paper trimmers are a common crafting tool, this trimmer was designed exclusively by paper crafters for paper crafters-and because it was made by Stampin' Up!, you know it's a cut above the rest!

Features of the All-New Stampin' Trimmer

• An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
  • The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements. 
  • The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
  • The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts.

Luminary Card

I love experimenting with cards, gifts and designs.  Yesterday, I played around with my favourite Christmas set, Christmas Lodge and came up with this beautiful luminary card.

It has been a long time in the works; but, my monthly card club is starting!  November 21, 2012 will be our first meeting.  

What is a card club, you ask?  Well, it is simply a monthly group that will meet over the course of 8 months and we will learn new techniques and make projects to take home.  The club is FREE to join; however, you must commit to spending a minimum of $25 (before tax and shipping) each month.  One month during the club session, you will be the club Hostess and receive all the benefits that come along with hosting a party!

You will still have the opportunity to stamp and make all the cards yourself; but, I'll design, cut, Big Shot and prepare & provide everything (except adhesive & dimensionals) for you in advance!

1.  Choose from the designs I have displayed below.  You can choose more than one design.  Decide how many of each card design you want to make (min. of 5 cards per design required for workflow purposes).  Please note a miniumum order of 10 cards is required to reserve space at the buffet.  If you would like to see the cards in person first, please ask.

2.  Email me your choice(s) and how many you would like to make.

3.  Pay by cash, PayPal or EMT.

4.  Select your time slot from the available times listed below.

5.  Come to my Stampin' Space, enjoy the company of other holiday card makers, holiday music and light refreshements while you create your cards.

Petite Diaper Bag

I adore the Petite Purse Die for the Big Shot!  The possibilities with this adorable little bag are endless; and to demonstrate, here is a shower favour I did up for my sister-in-law's baby shower this past weekend!

I cut the purse out of Chocolate Chip card stock, then cut off the flap to leave it open.  I then cut out a "pocket" to go on the front of the bag, which I affixed using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I then use a retired set for the baby bottle and food jar which I adhered inside the pocket.  Topped it all off with a bow using our 3/8" taffeta ribbon and voila, a cute little diaper bag!  Inside the bag are pacifier shaped candies, the perfect accent to any baby shower.

Chock-full of Cheer - Day 4

It's day 4 of my stamp spotlight on Chock-full of Cheer.  I bet you thought I'd be running out of design ideas by now, didn't you?

Triple-time stamping is the newest technique craze!  I thought I'd combine the latest craze with this super versatile set.  I love this  Christmas set.  There is just so much you can do with it, and have I mentioned how cute it is?

Lovely Chock-full - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of my stamp spotlight on Chock-full of Cheer.  Today's card is created using this super cute set in combination with one of my favourites, Lovely as a Tree.

I wanted to showcase how easy it is to combine stamp sets and create beautiful projects.  For this card, I used the pine tree from Lovely as a Tree and stamped only the top of the tree along the side and top of the card.  This gives the illusion of a bushy branch.
I then added the ornament from Chock-full of Cheer.  I popped the ornament up using Stampin' Dimensionals and added a bow using our 3/8" taffeta ribbon in Whisper White.

Add a little frosting to your tree branches with 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds and voila, a simple yet gorgeous card that will have your family and friends oohing.

Chock-full of Cheer - Day 2

It's Day 2 of my stamp spotlight on Chock-full of Cheer!  The more I use this cute holiday set, the more I love it. 

Today's card is another that we created at the Christmas in August class last week.  This card can be a little tedious to create; but, I think the finished product more than makes up for it!

Stamp Spotlight "Chock-full of Cheer" - Day 1

It seems my stamp set spotlight on Kindness Matter was a hit, so I thought I'd do another one on Chock-ful of Cheer.  This is a new holiday set found in the 2012-13 Catalog on page 10.

This cute set is very versatile, as I demonstrated this past week in my Christmas in August classes.  Here is the first card we made:

This card was made using the candy cane and "Merry Christmas" stamps from Chock-full of Cheer.  The techniques used are sponging and crystal effects.  

I used Marina Mist, Wysteria Wonder and Cherry Cobbler card stock and ink.  The bow is our baker's twine in Cherry Cobbler and the lights were created using Stampin' Write markers in Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist.

Frankenstein and the Bat

In the latest edition of the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator magazine, these cute little creations were featured.  So I had to try them out!

How adorable are these?  Made using the Bigz XL Petite Purse Die for the Big Shot, I cut out the purses and added embellishments.

The Bat is made using basic black, and whisper white card stock, the large oval punch, petite pennants punch, 1/2" circle and 3/4" circle punches, mini silver brads and white Signo uni-ball gel pen.

Frankenstein is made from old olive, basic black and whisper white cardstock.  I also used the circle punches noted above, glimmer brads in neutrals and a basic black Stampin' Write marker!

I think I'm going to use these for the kids' Hallowe'en class treats!
